Mayhem made to appear much bigger actions and unexpected situation create a comedic effect. Allstate is an insurance company, wants viewer to understand the importance of being prepared for unexpected accidents. Mayhem represents the unexpected risks in everyday life.

It encourages viewers to think about the possible risks and protect themselves with insurance policies.
